Il 9 di settembre si sta avvicinando e presto per la mia pulcina si apriranno le porte della scuola materna... Ecco ricamato e decorato con nome, appliqué di Minnie, fiocco e bottoni il suo primo grembiulino. Pronto pronto per le fotografie di rito!

September 9th is getting closer and Becca will be going to Kindergarten for the first time. Smock ready: I embroidered her name and appliqued her beloved Minnie embellished with a bow and a button. Can't wait to take a picture of her!

Ricordati di dire "Ti amo" tutti i giorni - Remember to say "I love you" every day

Per molto tempo, mi sono alzata molto prima di lui per andare a lavoro la mattina. Io mi addormentavo presto la sera, lui rimaneva sveglio per alzarsi poi più tardi. La mattina scendendo in cucina trovavo la tovaglietta con la mia tazza già pronta e un bigliettino con un messaggio carino per iniziare la giornata. Oppure, se a casa era rientrato quando io già dormivo, una brioche fresca al cioccolato. Anche questo è un modo per dirsi "Ti amo", perché nulla è più bello nella vita che condividere questo sentimento che tutto riempie e tutto cambia.

For a long time I woke up to go to work much earlier than he. I fell asleep pretty early at night while he stayed up and woke up later. In the morning, when I got to the kitchen, my breakfast mat was ready, my mug on top of it together with a post-it with a sweet message to start the day. Or, if he came back when I was already asleep, a chocolate croissant. This is another way to say "I love you". Non si è mai troppo vecchi per tenersi per mano - You're never too old to hold hands

Tieni la mia mano, porta con te il mio cuore. Come sono cambiate queste mani... eppure sono sempre le stesse. E da quasi cinque anni indossano un simbolo stupendo sull'anulare. Camminiamo insieme, mano nella mano, giorno dopo giorno. Eravamo in due e ora siamo in quattro, una mano per noi e l'altra per i nostri bambini. 

Hold my hand, take my heart with you. These hands of ours have changed so much although they are still the same. And they've been wearing a wonderful sign on the ring finger for almost five years. We are walking together, hand in hand, day after day. There were just two of us at the beginning, now there are four. One hand for us, my love, and the other for our children.
